We source our cocoa with farmers in mind. We are the first chocolate company to source all of its cocoa from West Africa through Fairtrade, and in 2017 alone, we paid nearly $300,000 in Fairtrade premiums to support farmers, their families and communities. We’ve seen the impact those premiums have made in health centers and schools, as well as labor rights principles for all their workers and for protection of the habitat and the environment.
