The Yelm Food Co-op has an opportunity for the right person!

Do you know about and enjoy organic and natural foods, locally sourced where possible?
Do you like the idea of working in a member-owned grocery store?
Do you like the idea of working in an atmosphere where cooperation and teamwork are highly valued?
Are you looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule and the possibility of advancement?

We are interviewing now for people like that. The available shifts that we want to fill are:
Friday afternoon – 2:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday morning – 8:30a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

What we’re looking for:
Cashiers -primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process. Main duties include ringing up sales, bagging or boxing items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment, and giving appropriate change. Responsible for counting the contents of cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining receipts, records, and withdrawals. May be responsible for checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low.
The cashier will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace. A cashier should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. They should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Pay and benefits:
$16.00/hr to start. After 1 year, 1 week of paid vacation based on the average # of hours worked, sick leave, 20% discounts on purchases and special Buy Club prices, if you are/become a member.
