\u2022 <\/span>4\u00a0cups\u00a0mozzarella cheese\u00a0shredded and divided<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>\u00bd\u00a0cup\u00a0parmesan cheese\u00a0shredded and divided<\/span><\/div>\n

Tomato Sauce<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span>\u00bd\u00a0pound\u00a0lean ground beef<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>\u00bd\u00a0pound\u00a0Italian sausage<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>1\u00a0onion\u00a0diced<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>2\u00a0cloves\u00a0garlic\u00a0minced<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>36\u00a0ounces\u00a0<\/span>pasta sauce<\/span><\/a>\u00a0*see note<\/span><\/div>\n

\u2022 <\/span>1\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0<\/span>Italian seasoning<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n

Cheese Mixture<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span>2\u00a0cups\u00a0ricotta cheese<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>\u00bc\u00a0cup\u00a0fresh parsley\u00a0chopped<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>1\u00a0egg\u00a0beaten<\/span><\/div>\n

Instructions<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Heat oven to 350\u00b0F. Cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Rinse under cold water and set aside.<\/span><\/div>\n
2. Brown beef, sausage, onion and garlic over medium high heat until no pink remains. Drain any fat.<\/span><\/div>\n
3. Stir in pasta sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes.<\/span><\/div>\n
4. Make Cheese Mixture by combining 1 \u00bd cups mozzarella, \u00bc cup parmesan cheese, ricotta, parsley, and egg.<\/span><\/div>\n
5. Add 1 cup meat sauce to a 9×13 pan.<\/span><\/div>\n

Top with 3 lasagna noodles. Layer with \u2153 of the Cheese Mixture and 1 cup of meat sauce.<\/span><\/p>\n

Repeat twice more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finish with 3 noodles topped with remaining sauce.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
7. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese (2 \u00bd cups mozzarella cheese and \u00bc cup parmesan), and bake an additional 15 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Broil 2-3 minutes if desired.<\/span><\/div>\n
